Ladies, I know you’ve been waiting for this for quite some time. So, let’s get into it. I had the opportunity to sit down with Lennox “Ox” Ellington Davenport—software engineer by day, heartthrob… well, 24/7—and he shared his thoughts on love, life, and keeping things spicy. Ox is the type of guy that gets the room buzzing when he walks in, but there’s so much more beneath the surface. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride, Beauties.

ZLB: Okay, first things first. I don’t want no smoke of no kind with our girl, Patience. So, do I have permission to call you Ox?

Lennox (smiles, showing off those signature dimples): Sure, pretty much everyone calls me Ox at this point.

ZLB (Yes, I’m doing an internal shoulder shimmy): So, Ox, please tell us a little about yourself.

Ox: I was born and raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Now I’m an official resident of Tha Land, also known as Cleveland, Ohio. I’ve had a pretty successful career as a software engineer. When I’m not coding, I’m hitting the gym, gaming online with The League, or traveling with my girl. You know, the usual.

ZLB: Speaking of our girl, Patience, what’s your love life looking like these days?

Ox: Man, I’m absolutely blessed. She and I have been together for about 18 months now. We connect on everything—traveling, trying new food spots, even getting competitive over board games. She keeps me on my toes, for sure. I’m not saying we don’t have our challenges, but we have a lot more good moments than bad. Relationships are about growth—we’re growing stronger every day.

ZLB: Amen to that. So, how do you keep things fresh? Any advice for the fellas reading this?

Ox (shrugging): Honestly, it’s all about finding new ways to connect. I’m a pretty simple guy. But Patience takes being a homebody to a whole new level. So sometimes I have to switch sh*t up and plan something adventurous, take her on double dates with my boys, or cook some new recipes together. It doesn’t have to be about grand gestures all the time. The little moments count just as much—watching a movie, hitting the gym together, or even chilling at home with good wine and a nice series to binge-watch.

ZLB: What’s one thing you wish you could change in your relationship?

Ox: Oh, I see you’re trying to get me in trouble. laughs But being real, I think we could be closer. I mean, we already share a lot, but there’s a deeper level of connection that we haven’t tapped into yet. It’s not something I can necessarily put my finger on, but I feel it. Sometimes, I feel like I’m still chasing that same validation I never got from my parents, you know? But I’m working on it. We’re both works in progress.

ZLB: Would you say you prioritize personal growth?

Ox: Absolutely. Life’s too short to stay stagnant. I’m always on the grind, pushing myself to be better, do better. Whether it’s professionally, personally, or in my relationship. Patience is a go-getter, too, and that’s one of the things I love about her. But I think she could find a little more balance between her career and her personal life. We’re both ambitious, but I want to make sure we’re enjoying the ride, not just focused on the destination.

ZLB (nodding): I love that. What motivates you the most?

Ox: Achievement and acceptance. I want to be successful, not just for me but for my future family. I grew up with the best of everything, but it wasn’t enough. I wanna create a life where I’m present for the people I care about. My parents worked hard, but that meant I spent a lot of time alone. So, while I’m about getting the bag, I’m also about making sure the people who matter know that I’m always there for them.

ZLB: That’s a word. What would you say is your best quality?

Ox: I’m supportive. I’ve got Patience’s back, no matter what. I’m her biggest fan, and I make sure she knows it. I hold her accountable, sure, but that’s because I believe in her. At the end of the day, I want her to win just as much as I want to win.

ZLB: Well, I can’t think of anything better than that! Now, a question for our ladies. What’s your go-to strategy in the bedroom that never fails?

Ox: Wow. I wasn’t expecting that. Especially from someone wearing a power blazer.

ZLB (*pops collar of said blazer): I had to dress up for the occasion. Now, don’t deflect, my good man. Give the people what they want!

Ox (pretending to think for a moment): My go-to strategy, huh? Well, if you recall, Patience claimed to never be able to have a full-body orgasm. So I helped her smash the hell out of that myth. Then she said she couldn’t have multiple orgasms. So I made it a personal goal of mine to take care of her several times before I allow myself a moment of pleasure… even though watching her climax is an undeniable privilege for me.
So, my go-to move is to start off sucking each of her pretty little toes, where’s she’s the most sensitive. Next, I move on to her breasts, which is her second most powerful erogenous zone. Then, I nestle my face between those lovely little thighs of hers. I’m aiming to break my personal record of 11.6 seconds before she’s surrendering to her third climax. That one’s usually the most powerful. By the then, she’s ready to make love. The total count is between six to eight before the end of the night… or morning, depending on what we have going on.

ZLB: …

ZLB: …

Ox (offers signature smirk): My bad. That may have been a little too much, huh?
You good, Ms. Banks?

ZLB (blinks, several times, crosses legs firmly, then clears throat): Yeah… yeah.
Er, last question—what does the future hold for Lennox Ellington Davenport?

Ox (chuckling): Man, the sky’s the limit. I see myself traveling more, not just for work but with Patience, maybe even a couple of kids in the future. I’m working toward a senior management role, but I also want to keep learning, keep evolving. I don’t believe in settling, whether it’s in my career or my relationship. I want it all, and I’m going to get it all. Just wait and see.

ZLB: Oh, we’ll definitely be watching, Ox! Thanks for sharing a little piece of your world with us. We can’t wait to learn more about what’s happening with you and Patience in the upcoming Beauty is Her Name novel, Beauty Betrothed.

Ox: Fuhsho. Stay tuned, it’ll be out soon.

There you have it, Beauties—our boy, Lennox Davenport. He’s not only fine; he’s a man with vision. Keep your eye on him, because he’s definitely going places, and who knows, maybe he’ll bring us along for the ride.

Until next time,
Zariah
